As widely speculated in the party, the secretary-general Coli confirmed today (October 19th) the support of the Democratic Socialist Party (PSD) to Paulo Matias's (Livre) candidature. Although being in the same coalition led by Matias, the ''Unidade'', the party was still taking into account its own candidate, which would probably be Coli himself.
When asked about the decision, our secretary-general ensured that this was a ''clever and obvious'' move, since the PSD is a very young political party. Coli also stated that there's an urgent and more important goal to be achieved: ''There are more urgent and important issues going on... if I was going to run for president I would probably lose and take some votes of Paulo Matias with me. The Tukarese Demcoratic Union would have an easy task, and that's definitely what we don't want here.''
The party is very optimistic about the next elections, despite being PSD's very first elections. If everything goes well, the party might have at least 10% of the seats, according to internal surveys. The elections will be held in April, 3910.
